Workshop 1 —
New Year, Do You: A South Asian’s Guide to Resolutions, Winter Blues and Traditional Practices of Warmth

Monday, January 19, 2025 | 8:00 PM—9:00 PM EST

As we welcome in a new year, many of us feel the pressure to set ambitious goals or reinvent ourselves — all while dealing with the emotional heaviness of the winter blues. This workshop invites our community to navigate change through a gentler, more culturally grounded approach. Together, we will explore how South Asian communities, past and present, have made the most of the winter months through food, solstice rituals, and communal practices.

Workshop 2 —
Love, Not Actually: Bollywood, Marriage and the Love Stories We Knew

Monday, February 23, 2025 | 8:00 PM—9:00 PM EST

From classic ghazals and dramas to Bollywood romances — not to mention the stories of love and marriage from our parents, South Asians grew up absorbing grand, poetic, and often complicated ideas of love. This workshop invites our community to re-examine the narratives we inherited, internalized, and want to carry forward. Through collective community discussions and critical self-reflection, we’ll explore how to build a healthier relationship with love.
